When you date in DC, there are only a few ways to meet a future spouse. It really comes down to work, or a bar. Well these two lovebirds met at the latter. They apparently locked eyes and immediately got to talking.
Then they just kept talking...
And finally, they ended up having their dream DC War Memorial Wedding.
L & S got married on what will probably go down as the coldest day this winter '21-22. in Washington, DC. Thankfully, we started the day inside at The St. Gregory Hotel in Dupont Circle.
Liz's Mom and best friend helped her get into her dress, and my assistant, Lauren, shoved hand warmers up her dress to keep her warm.
Liz & Stéphane chose to do a first look, which I always encourage my couples to do. It relieves some of those wedding-day jitters and gets you really excited to marry your partner.
We headed down to the National Mall for their ceremony, which was officiated by Stéphane's sister, Astrid.
The ceremony in the DC War Memorial was ~cold~ but so sweet. There were lots of laughs, which is on brand for Liz, because she's one of the most joyful humans I've ever met.
We followed the ceremony with some couple portraits on the Mall, until Stéphane's lips started to turn purple.
Finally, we headed back to get warm for a small brunch reception at Pisco Y Nazca in Downtown DC. There was a first dance and a father-daughter dance, and it was all lovely and beautiful.
Congratulations to Liz & Stéphane, who are now off honeymooning on the California coast.
